10 Things About Myself

1. When I was young, I told myself that I'll get married at 25. I did.
2. I love Starbucks! Okay, you probably know that already. I love coffee shops in general, not because of the coffee but because of the ambiance. It's relaxing and it's a nice place to hang-out with family and friends.
3. I stand 5'2.
4. I love Spaghetti that is sweet and spicy.
5. I want everything to be organized.
6. Scents reminds me of certain people I've met in my life and that's one of the reasons why I love perfumes. They said that scents say something about you, too. Well, here's my personal favorites: Burberry Brit, L'eau Par Kenzo and Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste (This would give you a hint of how I smell lol).
7. I can go out without jewelries except earrings.
8. I talk during sleep (when I'm too stressed out).
9. I still keep my favorite barbie dolls inside my closet.
10. I don't drink milk but I love hot cocoa.

Awards: The Versatile Blogger and Irresistibly Sweet Blog Awards!

It's time to thank again my fellow blogger and friend, Aimee Renee, for awarding me the following awesome awards:

She gave me my first ever Liebster Blog Award before, and now she's awarding me The Versatile Blogger Award and The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award. I know she gave me these for a reason  and I'd be happy to pass on the awards to my fellow book bloggers who are amazing in their work.

The rule for this award is as simple as:
1) Thank and link to the person who nominates you.
2) Share seven random facts about yourself.
3) Pass the award to five more blogger friends.
4) Contact and congratulate the blogs nominated.

Ok, only seven facts??? I want to mention as many as I can think of, but the rule says "seven". So here it goes... (no laughing ok!)

1 - I used to be a BIG FAN of Sailormoon! Yep, the anime cartoon from Japan! Me and my little brother used to watch lots of anime on TV when we were young. I have my own set of favorites but I love Sailormoon the most. 

2 - I love Barbie--from Barbie dolls to Barbie movies. Here are my three special dolls:

Daisy - I got her when I was 9 years old, a Christmas gift from my parents. 

Mimiline - she came from Korea, a present from my father when I was 11. 

Miley "Hannah Montana" - the first barbie doll I bought ever since I got married. I bought her last year and named her Miley because I'm a big fan of Miley Cyrus =) 

3 - Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney fairy tale of all. I love Belle the most among other princesses. She and I have one thing in common too--we both love books and we love to read a lot!

4 - My favorite number is "4". I was born on the 4th day of the 4th month of the year (obviously, that's why I was named April). I became my hubby's girlfriend on the 4th of September 2003. Did you noticed that Books 4 Juliet has number "4" in it? =)

5 - I love Disney's Totally Spies and Sam is my favorite. I still watch it! =)

6 -  I like chocolates--plain or with a bit of nougat or raisins... but I don't like it with almonds or any kind of nuts. And my favorite flavor of ice cream: chocolate.


7 - The most sacred place for me in the house is the bathroom. Because that is where I can find solitude inside the house. It's the quietest and best place for me to talk to God about anything. Even at my parent's house, the bathroom is my favorite spot.

Best Books Blog Award (Yay!)

Just this afternoon, I told my friends how tired and exhausted I was... and that I apologized for not responding to their posts in a while. Then I received an awesome news from Author & Illustrator Ms. Deirdra Eden Coppel, the beautiful lady behind A Storybook World , telling me I have an award! Yes, an award! and I suddenly felt so energized! =)

Writing book reviews is fun and overwhelming... but being recognized for your work is truly SOMETHING. I cannot thank enough the wonderful people who acknowledge writers and bloggers like us, giving us more reasons to be inspired and feel important. 

This post is for Ms. Deirdra, for being so kind and generous to give me the "Best Books Blog Award". I hope I'll be more of a help to you and to others. It's a wonderful feeling to share the love. Thanks so much!

Look! I've Got An Award!

Oh no.. no.. not the Owl Award!

And not the Kitty-Kat Award either!

I GOT THIS: 

Just two months ago, I started Books 4 Juliet with hope and prayers that soon I'll be able to joined the growing community of book bloggers. To design your site, to type those words in your head and to share your thoughts are much easier compared to the hard work and patience you need to get your site noticed. Getting followers is difficult (or maybe it's just me?!) and I know getting an award is the least I can expect. So it was a surprised when I learned that I was awarded!

I want to say a BIG THANKS to my friend Aimee at Aimee Renee for giving me this award. She never failed to brighten up my day with her constant visits and support. I owe her a lot for keeping me company over the past two months since I started my blog. She's one of the first few who gave me their trust and made me continue despite the thoughts that it might not end well.

So this time, it's my turn to give back the trust and faith to those people who are more than deserving to receive this award. Sorry, it took me so long to pay this kindness forward. I've been doing some bloggity-hop you know! ;)

Honestly, I've been thinking to give the first spot to Aimee Renee blogsite. If only someone else has given me this award, I'll definitely pick her site. She really deserves it. But logically, I know I have to give the spot to others who deserve to be publicized too, which is the main goal of the award anyway.

1. Books from a Shelf by Lauren - This girl Sarah is 16 and I'm wishing that I could be young again! Ok, that won't work. It's fun to read her reviews, her cool and sassy thoughts makes me feel younger and it's kinda refreshing! Give her a visit, won't you? 

2. Happily Never Ending by Sierra Cullen - Visit Sierra's site and check her 3 R's. She mostly reads YA novels and she's also a writer. Take a peek on what she reads and reviews, and you may want her recommendations. Now who doesn't want a happily never ending?

3. Jessica's Bookshelf by Jessica - See what Jessica's reading and check out her reviews. Her blog is one of those blogs I adore--simple and beautiful at the same time. She loves crafts (just like me, yay!) and I bet Jessica loves pink too! :) 

4. Pawing Through Books by Peggy - Meet Bella and her mom Peggy. I love this blog and you will too! If you want to paw some good books and reviews, visit their site! 

5. The Book Addict by Shanan - The first time I visit Shanan's blog, I fell in love with it! Simply because I'm in love with pink and brown colors, and that's just exactly the color of her blog! :) She's passionate about books and just like me, reading for her is a form of escape...

I'm done. All I need to do is to blogitty-hop again to these beautiful blogsites and tell them they got an award! Now, it's the most rewarding part! :)
